This is a case study of Mindz and Seat2Meet.com (M&S).
It was created as part of the supportership that CDEF Holding,
the owner of M&S, provided Sergei Middendorp to do PhD research with Fielding Graduate University.
In this research we try to understand how we can design value networks that support
the collaboration between organizations so that they achieve a groove,
just like a peak performing jazz band.
This case study analyses the business of Mindz and Seats2Meet, an online social network and a meeting lounge for self employed professionals, using Christensen’s, Allee’s, and Stabell and Fjeldstad’s theories of value networks. It concludes that the three theories are complementary for analyzing the systemic nature of multi-party collaboration and recommends additional tools to provide an integral perspective on value networks.
