Barack Obama is on the web again

Ben Koot - Friday 09 January 2009 - 22:25 - 50 x read
Former secretary of state Colin Powell helped promote a mass volunteer initiative on behalf of US president-elect Barack Obama Friday, calling on Americans to make long-term commitment to serve their communities.

It's going to be interesting to see what result this appeal will have and how the web is used to turn it into a success. I have a feeling it will become again a great show of the still unleashed power of Internet, given the fact that governments are traditionally not web orientated this become a great lesson. for all of us.

THYRAXX - Saturday 10 January 2009 - 11:02This is the basic concept of what it all is about.
Instead of thinking in" I" we need to think in "WE".
All those fancy word like co.funding, co creation, co what ever you want to put behind the word, all says basically the same thing over and over and over again. Let's start helping each other, lets promote what we can do best for others who needs that help
It's not what the nation can do for you but what can we do for the nation so that we all can communicate on the same level and understand each other a little bit better. Help each other there where it's really needed. Forget our selfisch self and start thinking about the world that is in trouble at the moment and it's starts in the USA where they are starting to show the example by the use of Obama's idea to use the internet. Now all follows him in his steps.
Kees Romkes - Tuesday 13 January 2009 - 09:56Just terrible that there are enormous amounts of documents employers of our government have to comply to before they're actually able to start conversating with the people, just check out the linkedin Group innovatie 2.0
