Markus Schulz is back with a new single. 'The New World' is the atmospheric trancer that is set to take off a new phase in Schulz's musical career. With the success of his 'Progression' album and his recently acquired number 8 position in the DJ Mag Top 100 still fresh in memory, it's time to shake the crowd with a new type of sound. One that fits the arenas, clubs, and hallways of this world.

Supported by a spectacular video, 'The New World' is a stunning new trancer that'll destroy the dance floor with its trembling beat and epic melody. 'The New World' has definite impact, and that was exactly what Markus had in mind while producing it.

The nominations for the 2nd annual Beatport Music Awards have been announced, and once again, Markus Schulz has been shortlisted for the accolade of ‘Best Trance Artist’. The Beatport 2009 Music Awards looks back on the biggest movers and shakers in 2008, with categories for many genres within the dance spectrum. In the Trance category,

Markus has been shortlisted, as a reward for his success achieved with his second artist album ‘Progression’, the subsequent singles released from it, and cumulating in the release of his remix album, ‘Progression Progressed’.

Markus is now focusing on his next compilation project, "Toronto '09". Slated for release in March, he will strive to bring the freshest tracks that have been tried and tested on the dancefloor.

Since 2002, Markus has delivered a slice of his trademark sound through his weekly radio show, Global DJ Broadcast. Today, it remains one of the most respected and critically acclaimed radio shows across all of Dance music, accumulating over 20 FM and online syndication partners in the process. The show features Markus each week alongside some of the world's biggest and best DJs.

Markus is set to play the second day at the Ultra Music Festival. The two day bash, internationally renowned for its memorable live performances and DJ sets from the world’s top electronic artists, will take place during the 24th annual Winter Music Conference at the beautiful waterfront location of Bicentennial Park in downtown Miami. Last year over 55,000 Dance music enthusiasts coming from the entire United States and over 50 countries around the world were in attendance.
