It integrates natural agriculture and permaculture with old and new school organic architecture in a both progressive and unique esthetic way and unites low and high tech solution thinking. The circular and atomistic style of urban planning is highly adaptable and can also be used to build or expand existing villages or cities with a green district. This compact green poldermodel could help in creating a global ecological network and a global footprint of (about half) an hectare per human being..."

In April 2009 I started Projectgroup eco-village Ekosofia. About 40 people make up this growing and divers group of people who aim at building an eco-village close to Amsterdam for 300-500 households. Here at Mindz you can register to join us on one of the Green Screen nights at the Hub or on one of our excursions to inspiring projects. See the Events for more information.

In 2010 our network around the project has been moved from Ning to Mindz, but from november 2010 you can also join us at forum.ekosofia.org = http://www.spiegelplaats.net/

At LinkedIn I started an Ekosofia Group to further evolve the concept in an open source way with the help of professionals in agriculture, architecture, biology, energy, urban planning etc. In cooperation with a.o. green collars, designers, artists and companies and organisations Foundation Ekosofia wishes to start up more pilots around the world. Past: former urban nomad, studied Design and Communication (bc), Natural Food, Biodynamic Agriculture. From idealist to realist.

Present: founder and director of the Ekosofia Foundation, arty and crafty at De Groene Geus, employee natural food store and poststamp gardner.

Future: becoming selfsustainable, building my own house, sandsculpting, writing and gardening.
