What is SPIN? It is a global Software Process Improvement Network - a not-for-profit practical forum of about 125 individual SPINS. It is a forum for anyone who is interested in the free and open exchange of software process improvement expertise, experiences and ideas. The objective is to promote process improvement, increased process maturity and high quality software-based products, through an active program of networking, presentations, discussion groups, as well as liaison with other similar groups. 

SPIN meetings are normally held once a month. Venues and refreshments are often sponsored by Industry Bodies or Corporate Companies, gaining exposure and the opportunity to address the community at each meeting. Lists of past meetings and presentation downloads, are usually archived on each SPIN's website.
