Coworking spaces are popping up like mushrooms around the globe. Formally, a coworking place does not mean much more than affordable flex-desks with corresponding WiFi, mail address and perhaps a bit of storage room. However, the success of coworking spaces is not based on the formal setup, but on the materialisation of bringing social media back from its purely virtual existence into the real physical working environment: the Third Space*.

Openness, accessibility, collaboration and community – the factors of innovation, they are all to be found in well-functioning coworking spaces. Coworking as such, basically, is about creating new value. Network value creation. Meaningfull value. The next step in this new value creation for coworking places today depends on the ability to create coworking spaces that facilitate serendipity; the capability to facilitate the unexpected, but relevant, meeting of people. People from the new Society 3.0 and from the old traditional world.

We, as owners of the Dutch Seats2meet.com co-working formula with over 40 locations in our part of Europe, strongly believe in sharing experiences and knowledge. We would like to invite you to join this 24hr conference and extend your network and opportunities! Here in Holland we will be joined by 100 people from our network to be there ‘live’.

If you want to participate in the program that’s even better: you can join us in building the 3rd Space World Conference by doing a live presentation (via Skype or livestream, max. 30 min per presentation) about value creation in a value network, about the future of coworking in your region or any other topic which may be of interest to your global colleagues. We will try to move around the globe using the time zones and create a stage for you to share your (communities’) story with hundreds of coworking places around the world. You can also contribute by sending us a high quality video (max 10 min).
