NEW ONLINE SOCIO-BUSINESS NETWORK MINDZ.COM READY FOR TAKE-OFF

Online social networks are still gaining popularity. Reason is the increasing use of social networks for professional collaboration. The importance of personal branding, profiling and collaboration on the internet is becoming more and more a necessity for professionals. Not only for professionals in organizations and enterprises, but also for self-employed. In the Netherlands there are almost 1 million of these self-employed, on a population of 16 million. Similar picture is to be seen all over Europe. According to MINDZ.com that development is key to the process that’s called ‘the new way of working’ in the future.

On the 11th of November MINDZ.com will be officially presented to the Dutch audience. Next to the introduction of the online socio-business network, MINDZ.com will also “open” their physical meeting place, the MINDZ|Lounge. The MINDZ|Lounge is a physical ‘meeting podium’ that can be reserved by the MINDZ users, at no charge.

The MINDZ|Event is filled with inspiring workshops and the people attending can enjoy musical interludes and surprising food and drinks. The MINDZ|Event is free and is held at Seats2Meet.com in Utrecht, the Netherlands. Persons interested to attend this event can still sign up through www.mindzevent.nl. , although the Event is almost sold-out, with over 300 people attending.

Private Beta

MINDZ.com is currently in Private Beta, meaning that all content on the website www.mindz.com is visible for everyone, but it’s only possible to join if you get an exclusive MINDZ|Private Bèta Invite. From the 3rd of November onwards MINDZ.com is offering a limited number of exclusive invites. Weblogs or websites that want to hand out these exclusive invites to their visitors can opt at Michiel Gerbranda via michiel@mindz.com.

Meeting place for professionals

MINDZ.com is an online meeting place where passionate professionals can share knowledge, ideas and experiences. MINDZ.com believes that every individual has a unique story to tell. That’s why MINDZ.com offers instruments to their users that can be used to spread their story –and thereby themselves- online in a web2.0 way.

Within MINDZ.com the individual has a central position. The starting point is the Personal Branding Page where users can present, organize and develop themselves, before they socialize. A part of the Personal Branding Page is their personal Digital MINDZ DNA. This DNA is dynamic; it grows and develops along with the activities the user participates in and thus creates a bridge to get in touch with peer(s)groups. Groups can be created. A MINDZ|Plaza is an online environment where peers gather around a central theme. Within a Plaza knowledge, ideas and experiences are shared by means of blogs, wiki’s, forums, news aggregators, Q&A’s, E-mailings, event software and more. Using those tools dynamic environments are formed where knowledge can not only be exchanged, but also reach a higher level.

Online vs. offline

Not only the online rendezvous, MINDZ.com also facilitates the offline meeting. One of the added value aspects of MINDZ.com is the extensive Event-software. From within a Plaza MINDZ|Users can organize, publicize and monitor an event on a simple and efficient manner. Attendants can register – and pay on-line.

In the first couple months of next year MINDZ.com is rolling out through Europe. Using an ingenious language system content from different countries is combined. That allows e.g. a Dutch MINDZ|User to meet its peers with different nationality. That allows cross-boundary interaction to take place and an easier way of (European)peers to connect, thus leading to an organic network growth for Plaza groups.

MINDZ.com will also launch in South-Africa in January 2009.

Networking at no cost

Usage of the MINDZ.com network is entirely free of charge and no banners, ads or sponsored services. MINDZ.com has no commercial goals to fulfill with this network.

However in the near future MINDZ.com is offering the possibility to integrate the Mindz.com software as Private Label into business and enterprise 2.0 networks in order for organizations to strategically integrate social collaborative networking. The current MINDZ environment is then the ultimate co-created showcase and can be presented as the ultimate Enterprise2.0 solution.
