More insight in your twitter followers

Twitter is getting more and more weaven into the social media web, and with the success, even more people are joining. Also people that you don't want to follow or people that have negative purposes for contacting you. I'm checking out 3 services on how to get to know your followers.

As you might now, we use tweetlater.com for automatically following back twitterazzi that follow us on our twitter accounts (mindzface and mindzvoice) I don't check on who's following us there, any automated accounts will be removed by Twitter anyway (their block policy is quite strong) we follow back our users to reward them, keep in touch and a "0" on our following list looks bad anyway.

But me, as individual, get around 6-10 twitter requests a day. Opening my mail, checking out who someone is, easily takes up a minute or 2 depending if I'm actually interested.

Twitter follower mail
Twitter just updated their mails, with a little more detailed information on your followers (# of followers, how many updates, how many following) but if that isn't enough information for you, there are several other services.

Twimailer.com
Twimailer is the service I actually use, they offer a nice overview of the follower, with the last 10 tweets of that person, their profile, the number of followers and 3 additional options, knowingly "follow", "block", "report as spam", 3 ideal options for easy follower management.

Topify.com
Topify, currently in beta stage, is handing out a number of invites with e-mail driven actions in regards to twitter. As said, it's still in beta but offering a very nice package of "twitter power tools", like following back by sending an e-mail, answering direct messages using mail and ofcourse a small overview of the user following you.

So, what to use ?
Well, I suggest to try out all the options, but topify currently offers the most powerfull features. As said they're handing out invites (click here for fast access) but is just lacking "block" or "report as spam", features that are not that interesting for the actual user of Twitter.

Got any interesting twitter services for me to check out ? Need tips on how to handle twitter ? Questions are always welcome !

Interessant!

Thanks for the overview! Helps me to get through all my invites more easily, although I was already very pleased with the update Twitter did on their mails.
