Normally it isn't possible to get a feed from the new
twitter list functionality (just check out your twitter lists) but thanks to some nice information from
Felix Lepoutre and my interest in
Yahoo! pipes, we created it and ready to share with you !
Just go to this
Yahoo! pipe entry, enter your twitter username and the listname you'd like an RSS feed from and away you go !
Now tell me Kees, why would I want that ?
Well, on the
@S2m Twitter account, I wanted to aggregate everyone from that particular list and filter on anyone that posts with the
hashtag,
#s2m. This was a drag at first, when lists change I had to enter them manually, being updated and that was just a drag.
Now that I've created this feed, it automatically posts, through
rss2twitter.com, the newest updates from the list members, containing the hashtag
#s2m, into the @s2m twitter account. Pretty neat if you ask me !
Other purpose could be that you'd like to check up in your favorite newsreader, who's posting what on twitter. It gives me a pretty decent, fast insight into "what they're doing" and what's going on in the world of web2.0 or other niches. Favorite app on the iPhone to do that, still is
Newsstand...
Any other questions about yahoo! pipes, aggregating content or RSS ? Just ask !
