One is responsible for the Christianity all over the world, cured thousands of people and is the only son of god.
The other wants to retreat the forces from Iraq, says that we can change and is the first black president of America.
I’m talking about Jesus Christ and Barack Obama. As we all know Jesus is one of history’s most famous characters. More than 2000 years ago this kid was responsible for what is the largest religion today. That’s right, making up for 20% of world population is the Christian religion.
Obama on the other hand is at the start of his career as a president; leader if you may. There are people in America who are extremely proud of this man. They see him as the gateway to their own personal change, he is supposed to be the great example for the typical American man.
In these times there is supposedly a lot of peril around money, economy and jobs. Besides, we got the magic year 2012 coming along the corner pretty soon as well. It’s a hectic time for many people and fear is playing a big role in people’s lives. Afraid to lose your job, afraid you have no future, afraid you will lose everything you have, afraid that the end of the world is near.
It’s not going to be long before people start looking for saviours, a saint that will redeem them, just like Jesus. It happened 2000 years ago, why wouldn’t it happen now. I’m saying that Obama might be the new Jesus; a person people see as their saviour, someone who can lift your curse or cure you from a disease.
Taking just that back to a more rational level it sounds insanely stupid and impossible. How will Obama cure cancer? Curing a disease in this case is meant purely metaphorical just as most of the bible which people apparently love to take literally. But that’s another story. I’m talking about the kind of disease curing that changes your perception from one based on fear into one that’s based on love and pure consciousness.
People with the mindset that this inner journey, this change, has to come from someone else; outside you, will most definitely be disappointed. The trick is to believe in yourself and face fears with your inner self, to listen to yourself.
I sorely hope we won’t make Obama the roots of a new religion as we did with Jesus. There was never a time where a world leader showed you what is right and there never will be. There is only one world leader and that world leader, is you.
