For my current education's propaedeutic, which I still haven't completed yet after two and a half years, I need to program and create a website. Since I am not that into programming I decided to have some fun along the way. Thanks to one of the teachers I came up with the idea to create a fanpage for the Fat Guard from the game
Prince of Persia. So far I've created a banner and a biography for this particularly famous character.
And now the story behind this guy. Trust me, even with no knowledge of Prince of Persia I think you will like this.
----------------------------------
The Fat Guard was born in the slums of Persia. He was the son of a tradesman who could be found in the marketplace every day. Ironically the Fat Guard wasn’t always fat. When he was young, he helped his father carry crates from the house to the marketplace, typically he could be found quite exhausted. His mother left the household when he was seven years old, she told him she will be back when the time was right. Neither the Fat Guard or his father knew where she was headed or what she meant with ‘When the time is right’. His father was heartbroken when he found that his wife left him, he didn’t see this coming at all.
His father then decided to go out and find his wife, he couldn’t live without her. Then again, he couldn’t leave his son behind either. He told the Fat Guard: “Son, we’re going to find your mother, but you need to be ready for the outside world.” The Fat Guard looked into his father’s eyes and felt that his father was right. Together they started training, because the sands of the desert are unforgiving.
After a couple of weeks of intense training, his father noticed that this wasn’t the way to make his son ready for the journey. Instead of getting stronger, the Fat Guard was getting weaker. Something had to be done. His father went to the marketplace asking all the other traders if they knew a way to train his son into a fierce warrior. One such trader pointed him into the direction of the palace; “The sultan is looking for young recruits”.
And so he went to the palace, asking for an audience with the sultan. “I have heard the sultan is looking for recruits, I have some young blood that is willing to do his bidding.” The guards let him in and he engaged a conversation with the sultan. “Your majesty, my son is an ambitious young man who is looking for adventure and is willing to fight.” He knew he shouldn’t tell the sultan anything about the searching party for his wife as the sultan might refuse the request. “I might have a function for your son” the sultan said, “Yes, I am looking for a palace guard for the sixth level”. The father shrugged, what would the sultan mean with sixth level? Yet, he knew this was the only chance his son could become strong enough for the journey. “I accept your offer, the father said, I shall bring you my son at once.”
One hour later, the father showed up at the royal terrace of the palace. He brought his son, the Fat Guard. The captain of the royal guard walked around him, while looking at his body structure. “Yes, he will do quite fine at the sixth level” the captain said. “Take him to the dining room!” he ordered to two other guards. To the father he said “Do not worry about your son, he will be a great warrior in only a matter of days.” The father said goodbye to his son and returned home with a weird feeling is his stomach; fulfilled, yet empty.
In the dining room the Fat Guard was entrusted to a great meal. “Eat” the captain said, “All this food is for you”. A few days later, the Fat Guard got a lot of weight and he could actually wield a sword without falling down. Not even a week later, he could beat the captain of the royal guard in a duel. He was ready for the function and he weigh over 200 kilograms. He was brought to the sultan the same day. “You are now ready for the function I had in mind for you, I shall name you the ‘Fat Guard’”. He then was taken to the sixth level personally escorted by the sultan. When they arrived the sultan said to him “There is an annoying prince that is trying to save the princess my advisor has taken captive, you are to stay here and stop him from getting to her prison.” “Do your job well and I shall reward you handsomely.” And so the Fat Guard stands as of today at the sixth level of the palace.

If you're getting all nostalgic and feel like you have to play this game again, let me know if you need help getting it to work! I guess killing that Fat Guard will now fill you with the feeling of guilt.

"Why the hell are you posting this?"
Well I guess I just want to let you know if you need to develop yourself with certain tools, might as well make it fun and add a bit of magic powder to spice things up. Nothing wrong with that!
Besides, I could really use some feedback on my storytelling skills, cause that's something I truly want to develop myself in. Thanks in advance!
