After four years in Canada, primarily for long track speed skating and my undergraduate degree, over the past year I have been living in Haarlem, The Netherlands. I am currently enrolled in a graduate degree program at Utrecht University, writing my thesis on the international professional migrants in the United States and Europe.
I am also professionally involved with the communication team of
MINDZ.com, a vibrant professional network, as well as various other projects for C.D.E.F. Holding, one of them being the disruptive marketing concept ‘Fris in je hoofd!,’ where we try to inspire stakeholders in a social network complemented with on- and offline meetups, trainings and workshops.
Actively following the the developments of social media and e-marketing inspires me to bridge the gap of perceived geographical distances that I discovered during my undergraduate degree in Geography and Political Science. This has inspired the topic of my current research, even though my primary area of interest has been international law, environment and environmental policy.
My areas of interest are: marketing, public relations, communications, copywriting, media, online social media, geography, urban planning, architecture, design, climate, environmental law, intellectual property, international law, politics, international relations, and Canada.
